The movie Aagaman was a social drama released in 1984. The movie was directed by Muzaffar Ali. The main roles in the movie were played by Suresh Oberoi, Deepika and Saeed Jaffery. Bharat Bhushan played a good supporting role. The music of the movie was given by Ghulam Mustafa Khan while the songs were sung by A Hariharan, Anuradha Paudwal and Ghulam Mustafa Khan. The lyrics were written by Faiz Ahmed and Hasrat Jaipuri. The movie had different plot among the other released love stories.

Aagman was an interesting offbeat film leading the industry in new directions. The movie was directed by Musaffar Ali who has served the nation with his social work, poetry and was also a very famous artist. He has been a director, producer, movie writer and art director. He has directed film likes Khizan, Aaya Basant Sakhi and Anjuman. Muzaffar Ali also won the best director award at the Filmfare’s for the famous Hindi classic Umrao Jaan in 1982. He was a real asset to the industry.

The male lead in the film was played by the famous actor Suresh Oberoi who has acted in many hit movies like Lawaaris, Coolie and Saat Saal Baad but made his debut with the movie Jeevan Mukut released in 1977. The female lead in the film was played by Deepika who acted in movies like Mujhe Vachan Do released in 1983, Vikram Vetal released in 1986 and Izzat Aabroo released in 1990 while her debut movie was Sun Meri Laila released in 1983. The other male lead was played by Saeed Jaffrey who has also performed good acting in movies released earlier. He made his debut as the actor with the film Shatranj Ke Khiladi released in 1977. He has also written dialogues for the movie Heat and Dust released in 1983.
