Bollywoo action thriller, Aaj Ki Awaaz, directed by Ravi Chopra and written by Shabd Kumar was released in the year 1984. The movie starred Nana Patekar and Smita Patil in lead roles while Raj babbar, Om Shivpuri, Vijay Arora, Shafi Inamdar, Dheeraj Kumar, Alok Nath, Dalip Tahil, Sonika Gill, Urmila Bhatt and Gufi Paintal also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director, Ravi while the songs were rendered by Mahendra kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with Prabhat Kumar Verma ( Raj Babbar ), who is the professor of Hindi and Sanskrit in a college. His family comprises of his mother and a younger sister, Madhu ( Rashmi Chauhan ). Prabhat is in love with Rajni Deshmukh ( Smita Patil ), who is a public prosecutor by profession. They both have decided to tie knot after Madhu’s marraige. One day Prabhat witnesses a crime while returning to his home and identifies the accusedin front of the police. But the criminal don, Jagmohandas ( Nana Patekar ), sends his mens to scare Prabhat.

Prabhat’s sister is sexually molested by Jagmohandas’s mens. Madhu kills herself after the incident and thsi enrages Prabhat. Prabhat seeks help from police but no one comes forward to help him. Prabhat has no other option left than to forget about all this. After some days, one of the culprit of Madhu’s rape found dead. And this begins the series of death of all the persons involved in the case. And it is announced that a guy named Robinhood is doing this murders or killing. Who is this Robinhood?
