Bollywood movie, Aakhir Kyun, directed by J. Om Prakash and written by Achala Nagar was released on August 30,1985. The movie starred Rajesh Khanna, Smita Patil and Rakesh Roshan in lead roles while Tina Munim, Sujit Kumar, Asrani, Beena Banerjee, Achala Nagar, Shuba Khote, Baby Guddu and Vikas Anand also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by none other than ace music director Rajesh Roshan hile the songs were beautifully rendered by Amit Kumar, Mohammed Aziz, Lata Mangeshkar, Anuradha Paudawal etc. The movie was a huge box office hit of that year and is highly praised for its good music scores.

The movie starts with young and attractive Kabir Suri ( Rakesh Roshan ), who gets married with Nisha Sharma ( Smita Patil ), who is an average looking female. Kabir and Nisha starts living happily together and Nisha is in the illusion that Kabir doesn’t bother about her looks and actually loves her inner beauty. But she get shocked when she learns that Kabir is having a secret affair with her cousin, Indu Sharma ( Tinu Munim ), who is far ore beautiful and attractive then her. Nisha decides to leave Kabir’s house but he refuse to give their new born daughter to Nisha. Nisha arrives in the city and start her search for work.

In city she meets with a writer, Alok Nath ( Rajesh Khanna ) and befriends him. Alok cares for Nisha and helps her in getting work. Alok reveals that Nisha has the talent of becoming a famous singer. He encourages her to take singing as a career. Nisha agrees to his request and soon becomes a renowned singing personality. During a function, Nisha meets with Kabir and learns that he is now married to Indu. She also learns that her daughter is also getting a good care from Kabir and Indu. But Nisha is determined to take revenge from Indu and Kabir for ruining her life. What she will do to make harm on Kabir and Indu’s life?
