Bollywood action thriller, Aakhri Adaalat, directed by Rajiv Mehra and written by Ravi Kapoor was released in the year 1988. The movie starred Vinod Khanna, Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles while Sonam, Praesh Rawal, Vinod Mehra, Sonam, Gulshan Grover, Shafi Inamdar, Sushma Seth, Johnny Lever, Sudhir Dalvi and Birbal also played important roles in the film. The hit music of the film was composed by well known music director Anu Malik while the songs were sung by Mohammed Aziz, Anuradha Paudwal, Alisha Chinoi and Anu Malik himself. The movie did well at the box office window.

Inspector Amar Kaushal ( Vinod Khanna ) is an honest police officer but is forced to only a desk job. He is not provided any more criminal cases as his superiors thinks that it will not be in the interest of police force. Amar is provided an assistant in the form of Sub-Inspector Reema Kapoor ( Dimple Kapadia ). Soon they both falls in love with each other and decides to get married. Amar brings her homr to introduce her to his mom ( Sushma Seth ). In his home, Reema accidently opens his closet only to find a helmet and a jacket of a criminal who is wanted in the criminal records. Reema tells this to his superiors and as a result Amar is arrested by police as they suspects that he is the notorious criminal who murdered several people.

But Reema still thinks that Amar is not the culprit. She starts her investigation and soon learns that the killer is someone else. But its prove out to be very too late as Amar’s mother and Reema’s uncle ( A. K. Hangal ), who is a retired judge, is also killed by the same killer. Now Amar decides to find out the real killer on his own. Amar and Reema starts their investigation from the zero but little does they know is that the real killer is very close to them. Who is the killer and for what he is doing these murders?
