Aamdani Athanni Kharcha Rupaiya was a comedy movie released on December 21, 2001 under the banner of Padmalaya Telefilms Ltd. The movie was directed by K Raghavendra Rao and produced by G A Seshagiri Rao. The top roles in the movie were played by Govinda, Chandrachur Singh, Juhi Chawla and Tabu while the roles of Johny Lever and Ketaki Dave were equally important. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Babul Supriyo, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Shaan and Sneha Pant.

The movie Aamdani Athanni Kharcha Rupaiya was released under the hit banner of Padmalaya Telefilms Ltd which has produced several famous movies under its name like Himmatwala and Mawaali. According to the director of the movie, the name of the movie should tell the theme of the film. The story of the movie is about three men Ravi ( Chandrachur Singh ), Appu Khote ( Johny Lever ) and Vijay ( Vinay Anand ) who are not only the neighbours but also work in the same garage.

The expenses of these people are so much that they always find themselves borrowing money from everybody even from the peon of the garage. Their wives Meena ( Tabu ), Vimla ( Ketaki Dave ) and Anjali ( Isha Koppikar ), respectively, are very caring housewives. But due to the bad activities of their husbands they are also not able to manage the household expenses. One day Bhimsha ( Govinda ) and Jhoomri ( Kuhi Chawla ) comes to live in their neighbourhood. Both are very loving and an example to these three couple.
