Bollywood romantic family drama, Aap To Aise Na The, directed by Ambrish Sehgal was released on december 5, 1980. The movie starred Raj Babbar and Ranjeeta Kaur in lead roles while Deepak Parashar, Om Shivpuri, Madan Puri, Mehmood Junior, Tamanna and Raj Mehra also played important characters in the film. The melodious hit music of the film was directed by the female music director Usha Khanna while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Suresh Wadkar, Hemlata, Manhar Udhas and Asha Bhonsle.

Wealthy orphan, Varsha Oberoi ( Ranjeeta Kaur ) falls in love with a middle classed gy named Vijay ( Raj Babbar ). Vijay runs a furniture store and is badly in debt. Vijay lives alongwith his widowed mother, a younger brother and a sister.Everyone in Vijay’s family knows about Varsha and treats her like their would be daughter-in-law. Vijay then meets with his childhood friend, Vikram Chawla ( Deepak Parashar ) and welcomes him heartedly in his house.

It is then Vijay’s life turns around, he gets out of his debts and also his business starts running in a good way. But he get shocked to know that Varsha is now going to get engaged with Vikram. When he confronts Varsha for this, she tells him that she wants to get married with someone richer. Vijay then goes to Vikram who also tell him the same thing that Varsha never loved him. What happened Varsha? Why she is getting married to Vikram? Did Varsha really love Vijay?
