Yesteryear bollywood hit, Aatish, directed by Ambrish Sangal was released on February 23, 1979. The movie starred Jeetendra and Neetu Singh in lead roles while Dheeraj Kumar, Sujit Kumar, Birbal, Mumtaz Begum, Madan Puri, Om Shivpuri, Rinku and Nirupa Roy also plyaed important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by Ravindra Jain and Jaidev Verma in collaboration while thesongs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Hemlata etc. The movie recieved good response from the audience as well as from critics.

The movie starts with a wealthy businessman named Mr. Rai ( Om Shivpuri ), who is a unhappy father because of his son’s negative nature. His son, Rakesh Rai ( Dheeraj Kumar ) is waiting him to die so that he can inherit all his property and money. Mr. Rai lives with his wife, Shoba ( Nirupa Roy ), a criplled daughter Ashu ( Rinku ) and a school going son, Raju. One Day while returning from a bank, Mr. rai is attacked by some goons and a young man named Anand ( Jeetendra ) comes to his rescue. Anand get injured in the attack and is then admitted to hospital by Rai.

Rai also hires him in his firm. Soon Anand wins the trust of Rai and also becomes popular in his family. This makes Rai’s son Rakesh furious but all his efforts to prove Anand a corrupt person, goes in vain. Anand helps Rai to get his property back from a local goon named Girdhari ( Madan Puri ). Rai and his family starts treating Anand as their family member but a secret they don‘t know about Anand is that Anand himslef is after Rai’s property. What will happen now? What will Anand do next?
