Bollywood romantic emotional drama, Aaya Saawan Jhoom Ke, directed by Raghunath Jhalani was released in the year 1969. The movie starred Dharmednra and Asha Parekh in lead roles while Ravindra Kapoor, Nasir Hussain, Nirupa Roy, Sunder, Aruna Irani, Bindu, Rajesndra Nath, Jalal Agha, Madhu Apte and Keshav Ranan also played important characters in the film. The superhit music of the movie was given by none other than the veteran music director duo Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were beautifully rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc. The movie was proved out to be a huge hit at the box office window.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Jai Shankar ( Dharmendra ), who is a very kind hearted person and always ready to help others if possible. He is the foster son of wealthy businessman Lala Jugal Kishore ( Nasir Hussain ). Lala Jugal Kishore treats him as his own son and his daughter, Mala ( Aruna Irani ) also consider, Jai, as her real brother. Jai meets with a beautiful girl named Aarti ( Asha Parekh ) and soon they both falls in loev with each other. But some misunderstanding happens between the two love birds because of Aarti’s younger sister, Seeta ( Bindu ). Jai and Aarti decides to keep a distance from each other.

Jai’s sister, Mala get married to Rajesh ( Ravindra Kapoor ). But Rajesh is actually a bad guy who has married Mala only for getting the wealth of Lala Jugal Kishore. He plans to throw Jai out of the property of Lala. He proves Jai characterless in front of Lala and Mala. Lala aks him to leave from theier life and he without saying a single word, leaves the mansion. But Jai wants to uncover the truth and somehow manage to know that all the misunderstandings were created by none other than Rajesh. He decides to keep his mouth shut as he does not want to ruin his sister’s life.
