Songs of Aaya Toofan


Dara Singh and Nishi starrer family drama, Aaya Toofan, was released in the year 1964. The movie was directed by Mohammed Hussaain and Kedar Kapoor in collaboration. The other starcast of the movie includes Maruti Rao, Anwar Hussain, Helen, Rani, Tun Tun and Jagdish also played significant characters in the film. The hit evergreen music of the movie was composed by the hit veteran music directed duo Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were beautifully sung by Mohammed Rafi, Kamal Barot, Lata Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar etc.

A bandit named Bharat kills the king of the region as a result of which the place of king gets vacant. King’s son, Naagsen ( Anwar Hussain ) is crowned as the new king. naagsen get married to Kundala ( Padma Rani ) and starts ruling the kingdom. Beautiful Rajkumari Chanda ( Helen ) is the sister of Naagsen. Naagsen get attracted towards a court dancer named Kala ( Nishi ). He gets into an extramarital affair with Kala and bring her in his palace. Rajkumari Chanda is abducted by the king of another region. A brave guy named Deepu ( Dara Singh ) comes forward and rescues her.

Naagsen ask him to make a wish as he is very happy with his brave act. Deepu asks him for Chand’s hand in his hand for the marraige. Naagsen gets furious to him and when he learns that Deepu is the son of Bharat, he get him arrested. Chanda, who is now in love with him, helps Deepu in escaping from the jail. Naagsen then plans a scheme and Deepu is forced to return to the palace. He is once again arrested by Naagsen and is sentenced to death. Whether Deepu will be able to survive now or not?
