Abhi To Jee Lein was a social movie released in 1977 under the banner of Embee Combine. The movie was directed by Roshan Taneja. The major roles in the movie were played by Kiran Kumar, Radha Saluja, Jaya Bachchan and Simi Garewal while the roles of Iftekhar, Farida Jalal, Danny Denzongpa, Shashi Kiran and Surendra Nath were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Sapan Jagmohan while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.

Abhi To Jee Lein was a social movie that revolved mostly around a man named Deepak ( Kiran Kumar ) who belongs to a rich family and currently studies in a college. He soon comes across a young and beautiful girl named Rita who studied in the same college and both falls in love with each other. The story of the movie takes a turn when the annual College Students’ Association Elections were being conducted in the college and the campus was packed with students.

The warm atmosphere of the college was made warmer by the involvement of the violent people from outside the college who were not at all the students of the college. There was a girl named Jaya ( Jaya Bachchan ) who was molested by a student named Rakesh. But then she was saved by her fellow mates named Deepak, Danny ( Danny Denzongpa ) and Mukesh as a result Rakesh gets killed. Danny was her boyfriend and helped her whenever she required it.
