The action crime movie Adharm was released on February 21, 1992. The movie was directed by Aziz Sejawal and produced by Nitin Manmohan. The major roles in the film were played by Shatrughan Sinha, Shabana Azmi, Sanjay Dutt and Joginder while the presence of Gulshan Grover, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor and Kiran Kumar supported the film. Music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Anuradha Paudwal, Mohammad Aziz, Pankaj Udhas, Amit Kumar and Aroon Bakshi.

With the presence of all the action heroes, the genre of the movie Adharm got to be an action cum crime movie. The story of the movie revolves mostly around Mr. Verma ( Vikram Gokhale ) who is the pride owner of a big and spacious house which he calls ‘Dharam Niwas’. He has two sons and was most worried about his second son Jaggan Verma ( Kiran Kumar ) as he was a complete drunkard and didn’t have any morals for anyone and this is why he asked him to leave the house immediately.

Though Jaggan left the house but made sure that he take his revenge of the humiliation he faced from them. Years later, Mr. Verma passes away and Jaggan has two sons Raghunath ( Paresh Rawal ) and Rocky ( Gulshan Grover ). Mr. Verma’s elder son Bharat ( Rakesh Pandey ) also had two sons, Avinash ( Shatrughan Sinha ), an Assistant Commissioner of Police, and Vicky ( Sanjay Dutt ). Jaggan plans Avinash’s imprisonment for 14 years. After completing his term whem he returned home, he found that his brother was working with Raghunath who wanted to kill Avinash.
