Bollywood movie, Agar…If, directed by Esmayeel Shroff was released in the year 1977. The movie starred Amol Palekar and Zarina Wahab in lead roles while Jagdeep, Kadar Khan, Shreeram Lagoo, Vijayendra ghatge, Brahm Bhardwaj, Raju Shrestha, Krishan Dhawan, Gulshan Bawra and Keshto Mukherjee also played important roles in the film. The evergreen hit music of the movie was composed by the music directors Om Prakash Sharma and Master Sonik in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, K. J. Yesudas, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

Anil Aggarwal ( Amol Palekar ), is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his wife, Anju ( Zarina Wahab ) and their school going kid named Jimmy. Anil becomes grateful to a stranger named Vijay Sahni ( Vijayendra Ghatge ), when he saves the life of his son, Jimmy from a certain death. Vijay refuse to accept any compensation from Anil but when he invites him to live in their palatial house, he readily agrees. Anil’s friend, Daver ( Kadar Khan ) ask to keep a close eye on Vijay as he is suspicious over him. Anil pays close attaention to Vijay and soon finds himself in problem when he finds Vijay getting closer and closer to Anju.

Problem arises when daver accuses Vijay of having an illicit affair with his wife, Suman ( Roohi Berde ). An argument ensues between Daver and Vijay and in order to stop their argument, Anil takes out his revolver. Unfortunately Anil pulls the trigger and shoot Vijay dead. Daver and Anil diposes off the dead body of Vijay. Anil then tsrats receiving calls from a unknown person named Chaman, who claims that he knows about Vijay’s murder. Anil realizes that he is now in a very big problem?
