Songs of Akalmand
Jeetendra and Sridevi starrer romantic comedy Akalmand was released in the year 1984. The movie was written and directed by N. S. Raj Bharat. The other starcast of the movie includes Ashok Kumar, Shakti Kapoor, sarika, Aruna Irani, Birbal and Raza Murad in importanat characters. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the veteran well known music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were beautifully sung by Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle and S. Janaki.
The movie starts with Kiran ( Jeetendra ), who is a doctor by profession and is of punjabi origin. He meets with a tamil speaking beautiful girl named Priya ( Sridevi ) and falls in love with her. Soon they both get married to each other. But Kiran’s habit of drinking cause problem in their married life. Priya knows that Kiran likes the company of beautiful womens and therefore starts suspecting him for having an affair with someone. Then Priya goes to her parents home in order to spend some quality time with them.
Kiran meets with a beautiful dancer named Lulu ( Aruna Irani ) and spends a night with her. Next day when he wakes up, he finds out that Lulu is dead and her body is lying there. Kiran decides to dispose the body and throws the dead body in a river. He then returns to his home and tries to behave normal again. But problem arises when police finds Lulu’s dead body and their investigation brings them to Kiran’s home.
