Aksar was a romantic thriller released on February 3, 2006 under the banner of Siddhi Vinayak Creations. The movie was directed by Anant Mahadevan and produced by Narendra Bajaj and Shyam Bajaj. The actors in the significant roles were Emraan Hashmi, Dino Morea, Udita Goswami and Tara Sharma while the supporting roles were played by Suresh Menon and Rajat Bedi. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala, Tulsi Kumar, K K and Jayesh Gandhi.

It seems that the director of the movie Aksar, Ananth Mahadevan has decided to change the genres of the movies that he is producing. He had earlier produced romantic movies like Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Dil Maange More but this time he has decided to produce thriller movie. The movie revolves around Ricky ( Emraan Hashmi ) who is a photographer of his own mood and angles. He is a complete flirt and can be seen taking advantages of his models. To add to this, he is more famous for his romantic attitude.

The movie begins when Sheena ( Udita Goswami ) calls Ricky to set up a meeting with him in a gym. When Ricky went there, it was something more of a meeting as he had already used and dumped Sheena’s friend Nisha ( Tara Sharma ). It was so disheartening for Nisha that she even attempted to kill herself. Three years later, Ricky holds an exhibition of his creations where a millionaire Raj ( Dino Morea ) walks in and purchases all of them. But Raj had one condition that Ricky should make his wife Sheena fall in love with him ( Ricky ) because he wanted to divorce her and this would be possible if she falls in love with someone else.
