Bollywood beautiful actress, Amisha Patel, was born on June 9, 1976 in Maharashtra, India. Her brother Ashmit Patel is also working as an actor in the bollywood industry. Very few knows that, Amisha is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She did her graduation from Tufts University, Massachusetts. She made her Hindi film debut with Rakesh Roshan’s romantic movie Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai opposite Hrithik Roshan. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office and became one of the biggest hit of that year. She became an overnight star after the release of the film.

She was next seen in romantic-thriller, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, opposite macho man Sunny Deol. The movie did very well at the box office and was the top grossing film of the year. She won several acclaims for her superb performance in the role of a Pakistani girl, Sakina, in the film. She also won the Filmfare Special Performance Award for her stunning performance in the movie. However, her next release titled Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar opposite Jimmy Shergill failed to do well at the box office. She was then seen in some low budget movie such as Kranti, Suno Sasujee, Zameer etc.

She gave a notable performance in comedy flick Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. Her next big hit came in the form of Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaan. She changed her sweet girl image to a sexy babe in the seductive item song ‘lazy lamhe‘ of Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. Right now she is busy in the shooting of Run Bhola Run in which she is been paired opposite comedy king Govinda.
