The movie Anamika has been released on May 2, 2008 under the banner of Bhanwar Lal Sharma Production. The movie comes under the genre of thriller drama directed by Anant Mahadevan and produced by Bhanwar Lal Sharma. The actors in the lead roles are Dino Morea, Koena Mitra, Minissha Lamba,  Aarti Chhabria, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Gulshan Grover, Prithvi Zutshi, Achint Kaur and Jatin Garewal. The music of the film has been directed by Anu Malik and the singers are Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Anu Malik and Krishna.

The director has handled the every situation of the movie properly but sometimes in middle the story proceedes as expected. Though the director is able to grip the audience with the script in which Mrs. Anamika Sisodiya continues to haunt the characters even after she’s gone. The story of the film is about Jia ( Minissha Lamba ) who gets married to a rich industrialist Kunwar Vikram Aditya Singh Sisodia ( Dino Morea ) who comes from Rajasthan to Mumbai for a business meeting. Vikram requests for an escort who turn out to be Jia. Jia get trained by Vikram and then gets married. Jia then moves to his bungalow and gets introduced to his caretaker ( Koena Mitra ).

Jia gets to know about first lady in the life of Vikram who was also his first wife Anamika, Mrs Sisidoya ( Arti Chhabria ). Anamika was the perfect wife for Vikram. Jia was consistently compared to Anamika which made her insecure, this made her feel the presence of dead Anamika in her life. The caretaker was only person who supported Jia. She tries to save her marriage but by a twist of fate leads to the grave of Anamika, this gave the police a chance to reopen the case. The dead body is then recovered by the police ( Gulshan Grover ) and the evidences points towards Vikram.
