Bollywood movie, Andaz, directed by David Dhawan was released on 8 April 1994. The movie starred Anil Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in lead roles while Kader Khan, Raj Babbar and Shakti Kapoor also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the film was given by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik etc. the movie recieved very good response from the audience and went on to become a hit at the box office.

The movie starts with Ajay Kumar Saxena ( Anil Kumar ), who enters in a school as a teacher. He meets with a young, beautiful and intelleigent girl named Jaya ( Karishma Kapoor ) there, who is one of his student in the class. Jaya falls in love with Ajay’s intelligence and simplicity. Shagun ( Shakti Kapoor ), another student of her calss, makes the condition even worse by playing a prank on the two. When Ajay comes to know about the feelings of Jaya for him, he weds Saraswati ( Juhi Chawla ) and brings her home.

Jaya also leaves the hostel and moves in the house next to Ajay’s home. She befriends Saraswati so that she could stay near Ajay. Jaya’s father dies in an accident. Saraswati brings Jaya in her own home to give shelter to the orphan girl. But that makes Ajay’s life a disaster. Meanwhile, the terrorist named Captain ( Raj Babbar ) is also after Ajay’s life as he is responsible for the arrest of his brother.
