Angrakshak was an action cum suspense movie released on November 17, 1995.The movie was directed by Ravi Raja and was produced by Vivek Kumar. The main roles in the movie were played by Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Kulbhushan Kharbanda while the supporting actors were Saeed Jaffrey, Mohnish Behl, Anees Bazmee, Rami Reddy and Amita Nangia.The music was of the film was directed by Anand Milind and the lyric writer was Sameer. The singers were Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Poornima and Udit Narayan.

The story of the film had some suspense. Here Priyanka ( Pooja Bhatt ) is a wealthy girl with her dad in politics Satyendra Pal Choudhary ( Kulbhushan Kharbanda ). Satyendra a very loving dad fears for the security of her daughter because of his popularity and hires a bodyguard for his daughter named Ajay ( Sunny Deol ). Other politicians were jealous of Satyendra’s popularity so they kidnap Priyanka and demand for a ransom of two crore with Ajay getting seriously wounded in saving Priyanka. But before any action could be taken Priyanka is found dead.

The general public sympathizes with Satyendra and he wins the election. The suspense here was that Ajay himself was a killer who had killed his sister’s husband Ramesh because they married each other without Ajay’s consent. The story portrays Ajay as a short tempered and angry man. The question here is why would a respected politician hire a killer like Ajay to protect his daughter? Is it Satyendra’s some trick to get his daughter killed to gain popularity and sympathy?
