Bollywood movie, Anmol, directed by Ketan Desai was released in the year 1993. The movie starred Rishi Kapoor and Manisha Koirala in lead roles while Dara Singh, Puneet Issar, Gufi paintal, Johnny Lever and Saeed Jaffrey also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director Anand Milind while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Prem ( Rishi Kapoor ), who is the son of a wealthy indutrialist named S. J. ( Saeed Jaffrey ). His father wants him to join their family business but Prem is fond of music and wants to make a career in it. He moves out of the house when his father puts pressure on leaving music. Prem starts making his living by singing in hotels. He then come across a beautiful girl named Anmol ( Manisha Koirala ) and gets attracted towards her. Anmol is living alongwith her father and a cruel stepmother.

Anmol’s stepmother doesn’t allow her to be happy for a while. Anmol is living a ridiculuos life in her own house. Prem comes in her life as the only light of happiness. She also loves singing and dancing and therefore gets attracted towards Prem. Soon they both falls in love with each other. But this is not liked by Anmol’s stepmother, who ends up selling her to a brothel. What will be the end of the love story of Prem and Anmol.
