Sanjay Khan and Rakhee Gulzar starrer romantic darma, Anokhi Pehchan, was released in the year 1972. The movie was directed by Satyen Bose. The other starcast of the movie includes Nirupa Roy, Simi Grewal, Praveen Paul, Jagdeep, Mohan Choti and Master Chintu in important characters. The evergreen hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon veteran music director duo Kalyanji Anandji while the songs were crooned by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The movie is set at the time of India-Pakistan war. The movie starts with a guy named Sanjay ( Sanjay Khan ), who is an army officer and is posted to Kashmir. After his arrival in Kashmir, he come across a boy ( Master Chintu ), who claims that Sanjay is his father. Sanjay then goes to meet boy’s mother, ( Rakhee Gulzar ), who also get shocked to see him. She then shows him the photo of her husband, who exactly looks like him. He also reveals that Rakhee’s husband was also an army officer.

Sanjay promise her that he will try his level best to locate her husband. Sanjay gets attracted to the boy and starts visiting their home regularly. His frequent visit to Rakhee’s house create problem between him and his girlfriend, Simi ( Simi Grewal ). Simi starts believing that Sanjay is playing game with her and he has actually married that woman. What to happen next?
