Bollywood action packed thriller flcik, Ansh: The Deadly Part, directed by Rajan Johri was released on April 2, 2002. The movie starred Ashutosh Rana and Sharbani Mukherjee in lead roles while Om Puri, Pankaj Berry, Sayaji Shinde, Shama Sikander, Anil Nagrath, Mushtaq Khan, Alok Nath, Rajat bedi, madan Kabir and Aasish Vidhyarthi also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director duo Nadeem Shravan while the songs were crooned by Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Mohammed Aziz, Shantanu Mukherjee, Kavita Krishnamurthy etc.

The movie starts with an honest and brave Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhagat Pandey ( Om Puri ). He is famous for his encounters in which the culprit finds out to be connected to any powerful politicians. He is transferred to Mumbai. he arrives there and takes charge of the post. But there also he becomes a threat to the corrupt police officers and criminals. because of his aggresive nature, he becomes a headache for the politicians. Politicians tries to transfer him to Kashmir and get succeed in doing so.

Meanwhile Bhagat Singh come across a suspended police officer named Sukhdev Singh ( Ashutosh Rana ). And then he meets with another guy named Rajnath Guru ( Abbas ), who is a gangleader. Rajnath is the son of a freedom fighter, Dinanath ( Alok Nath ). Bhata Singh alongwith Sukdev Singh and Rajguru decides to fight against the corruption in the country. But little does they knows is that their decision will lead them to nothing else but to their death only.
