Bollywood romantic drama, Anuranan, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary and written by Gaurav Pandey was released in the year 2006. The movie starred Rahul Bose and Raima Sen in lead roles while Rajat Kapoor, Rituparna Sen Gupta, Jacqui Dawson, Haradhan Bandopadhaya, Laura Price and Dolly Basu also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by the music directors Aashish Rego and Tanmay Bose while the songs were rendered by Karthik Das Baul, Anusha Chaudhary, Rajesh Chatterjee and Rahul Bose.

Rahul Chatterjee ( Rahul Bose ) is living in England alongwith his wife, Nandita Sen ( Rituparna Sen Gupta ). Rahul works as a designer there. Rahul originally belongs to Calcutta but when Nandita gave birth to a still born child, the devastated couple moved to England. Rahul gets transfer to Calcutta which is now known as Kolkata. He decides to go back to India once again alongwith Nandita. He then meets with a guy named Amit Banerjee ( Rajat Kapoor ), who is living alongwith his beautiful wife, Preeti ( Raima sen ).

Soon the two couples becomes very good friends and continue to meet often. Nandita gets a job as a school teacher and Amit is offered a trip to London for some reason. Now only Rahul and Preeti are left there. Amit get shcoked to learn when he recives the news of Rahul’s sudden death and the even more shocking news he gets is that Rahul was in an affair with his wife, Preeti.
