Rajesh Khanna and Nazima starrer romantic flick, Aurat, was released in the year 1967. The movie was directed by S. S. Balan and written by Kishore Sahu. The other starcast of the movie includes Feroz Khan, Pran, David Abraham, Achala Sachdev, Mohan Chhoti, Kanhaiyalal, O. P. Ralhan. Leela Chitnis and Nana Palsikar in significant characters. The hit veteran music of the movie was composed by the well known veteran music director Ravi while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Mahendra Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with a women named Asha ( Nazima ) is living a poor lifestyle alongwith her ailing mother. She works as a maid in the house of a rich man in order to make a living for her mother and herself. The house in which she works is owned by a rich businessman, whose only son, Kamal ( Feroz Khan ) has lust on her. Kamal tries to get intimate with Asha but she somehow manage to get herself away from him. Kamal get furious to this and performs rape with her. He later refuse to accept his misdeed in front of his father.

Asha gets devastated with the action performed to her by kamal. Her mother also passes in the shock. Asha then come across a guy named Suresh ( Rajesh Khanna ), who falls in love with her. Asha get pregnant with Kamal’s child. Suresh offers to get married to her so that she can provide her child his father name. What Asha will do now?
