Baaz – A Bird in Danger was a thriller movie released on February 7, 2003 under the banner of Kapishek Films Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed and produced by Tinu Verma. The main roles in the movie were played by Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Karisma Kapoor and Sunil Shetty while supporting roles were played by Preeti Jhangiani and Aditi Govitrikar. The music of the film was directed by Ismail Darbar and the songs were sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, Sadhana Sargam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher and Sukhwinder Singh.

The movie Baaz – a Bird in Danger was directed by action director-turned-filmmaker Tinu Verma and this was his first film in that genre. The director tried a new theme for his films that is the theme of thriller inspite of his usual action. The reason why he shifted to this genre was that he was so influenced by the success of Raaz that he soon decided to make a movie in that genre. Also, according to him, it has been a long time for audience to see some good thriller movies.

The theme of the movie revolves around a person living in the attractive locations of Nainital and suffering from the problem of being split personality. The movie starts when Neha Chopra ( Karisma Kapoor ), an interior designer is hired by Mayor Jai Singh Dabral ( Jackie Shroff ) to give a face-lift to his old Bungalow. There are three men in love with her Jai Singh, neighbour Raj Singh ( Dino Meora ) and Harshvardhan ( Sunil Shetty ). One of the three men want to kill her while other two wanted to save her, but no body knew who was the human baaz.
