Bollywood suspense action thriller, Baazigar, directed by the mastereo duo of suspense films, Abbas Mastan, was released on November 12, 1993. The movie starred Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles while Shilpa Shetty, Dalip Tahil, Rakhee Gulzarm Sushant Roy, Johnny Lever, Anant Mahadevan, Dinesh Hingoo, Adi Irani and Resham Tipnis also plauyed important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by Anu Malik and the duo Shyam-Sunder while the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Vinod Rathod, Alka Yagnik, Asha Bhonsle, Sonali Bajpayee and Anu Malik himself.

Ajay Sharma ( Shahrukh Khan ) is a suspicious guy who pretends to be a rich guy named Vicky Malhotra in front of the beautiful girl named Seema Chopra ( Shilpa Shetty ). Seema is the elder daughter of the wealthy businessman, Madan Chopra ( Dalip Tahil ). Priya Chopra ( Kajol ) is the younger sister of Seema. Ajay ask Seema to get married with him and when she agrees, he throws her off the top of a high buliding. Seema dies and everyone assumes that she has commited suicide because of the failure in her love life. Ajay then seduce Priya and plans to get married with her.

Madan Chopra agress to this relationship and soon Ajay and Priya get married with each other. But unlike to the others, Priya suspects that Seema was actually murdered by someone as she was frightened of the height. Priya takes help of her college friend and now a police inspector, Karan ( Sushant Roy ) in unravelling the truth of Seema’s death. Priya somehow manage to learn that Ajay is the killer of Seema but when she revelas why Ajay murdered Seema, she get totally shocked. Who is Ajay and why he murdered Seema? What he actually wants from the Chopra family?
