Bade Dilwala was an action comedy released on January 29, 1999. The movie was directed and produced by Shakeel Noorani. The major roles in the film were played by Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Priya Gill and Archana Puran Singh while Satish Kaushik and Sachin Khedekar were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Aadesh Shrivastav and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Hariharan and Alka Yagnik.

Bade Dilwala was a different movie directed by Shakeel Noorani and was inspired from the Hollywood movie “It Could Happen To You” but the movie fails to create the same effect as its English counterpart. The story of the movie revolves aound an honest police officer Ram ( Sunil Shetty ) who lives with his wife Manthara ( Archana Puran Singh ), a hair dresser, and his daughter Anthara. Manthara wanted money so badly that she always complained him that why don’t he accept bribes.

Manthara wanted to be rich as quickly as possible. One day, Ram was short of money while paying a bill at a restaurant to the waitress Piya ( Priya Gill ). But the same day Ram had purchased a lottery ticket of Rs. 5 crore and promises him that if he wins, he will pay her half the amount and if he don’t, he will return the nest day to pay his due amount. Surprisingly, Ram wins the lottery and gives Priya her due share. Ram’s wife wasn’t happy with that. She was adviced by her client Mannubhai ( Paresh Rawal ) that she should make a film on that and start earning from that.
