The action and comedy movie Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan was released on October 16, 1998 under the banner of Apic Enterprises. The movie was directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The main roles in the movie were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Govinda and Ramya while the roles of Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal were equally important. Music of the film was directed by Viju Shah and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Sudesh Bhosle, Poonam Bhatia, Rakesh Pandit and Amit Kumar.

The movie Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan was regarded as the biggest entertainer when it was released. Directed by the famous director David Dhawan, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan lived to the full expectations of the audiences. Though the story was not new but it was direction, screenplay and the performances that make the film worth watching. The story of the movie is about two cops Arjun Singh ( Amitabh Bachchan ) and Pyare Mohan ( Govinda ). They are good friends but also keep on fighting with each other.

Pyare loved Seema ( Raveena Tandon ) who is Arjun’s sister but Arjun didn’t approve of their relationship as he thinks Pyare as a big flirt. One day they come across Neha ( Ramaya ) who is a witness to her friend’s murder committed by Jorawar ( Paresh Rawal ). Neha wanted to tell the entire story to only Pyare Mohan as her friend mentioned about him before her death. But somehow Arjun has to mention that he is Pyare. Later Neha and Arjun also fall in love with each other.
