The family drama Bandhan Kachchey Dhagon Ka was released on August 26, 1983 under the banner of Shantkenta Film. The movie was directed by Anil Sharma and produced by K C Sharma. The top roles in the movie were enacted by Shashi Kapoor, Zeenat Aman, Rakhee and Bindu while the roles of Deven Verma, Prem Chopra, Master Ravi, Chandrashekhar, Jankidas, Raza Murad, Sonia Sahini and Ravi were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Hemant Bhonsale.

The movie Bandhan Kachchey Dhagon Ka was usual family flick that revolved mostly around a man named Prem Kapoor ( Shashi Kapoor ). Prem is a small businessman who lived in a small town with his family that consists of his wife Bhavna ( Rakhee Gulzar ), who is a Judge, and two children, Sunil ( Master Ravi ) and Babli. The movie takes a turn when on a Sunday, he was visited by a man named Prakash Dutt ( Prem Chopra ) who has a letter with him in his name.

The letter was written by a lady named Sneh ( Zeenat Aman ) who claimed to have known Prem for the last seven years now, lived in Bombay and wanted to meet him again. Prem goes to Bombay and meets with her. He comes to know that he is a father of a seven year old son Bittu ( Master Bittoo ) who is Sneh’s son as well. Sneh had cancer and was required to find someone who could take care of Bittu, so she asks his father Prem and he agrees as well.
