Barsaat was a romantic movie released on August 19, 2005 under the banner of Shree Krishna International. The movie was directed and produced by Suneel Darshan. The lead roles were enacted by Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Shakti Kapoor while the supporting roles were played by Supriya Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Thakur. Music of the film was directed by Nadeem-Shravan and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Alisha Chinoy, Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam.

A lot was expected from the movie Barsaat as the movie is directed by the famous director Suneel Darshan who has several hits under his belt like Andaaz, of recent time. The story of the movie is common and predictable. The story of the movie is the love story of three individuals. The story revolves around Arav ( Bobby Deol ) who is making money in US and Anna ( Bipasha Basu ) who falls head over heels with him. It was a love at first sight for her but it was not the same with him. Arav is a car designer and was busy with his work as he wanted to make it big in this industry.

Some months later, Arav was offered the job by Anna’s grandfather ( Shakti Kapoor ) and didn’t know that she was his grandchild. Later Arav was asked to marry Anna by her grandfather. Arav forgets his past that there was someone special Kajal ( Priyanka Chopra ) waiting for him in a small town of Himachal Pradesh. The fact was that he was married to Kajal three years back but was struck in confusion of deciding to accept the opportunity to get settled in US fulfilling his dreams or getting back to his town.
