Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai was a romantic movie released on July 6, 2001 under the banner of Rose Movies. The movie was directed by Goldie Behl and produced by Madhu Ramesh Behl. The main roles in the movie were played by Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Jackie Shroff and Sushmita Sen while the roles of Sharat Saxena and Gulshan Grover were also significant. Music of the film was directed by Aadesh Shrivastav and the songs were sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, Hema Sardesai, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, K K and Shaan.

The movie Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai was directed by the childhood friend of Abhishek Bachchan, Goldie Behl who made his debut with this film. The movie is a story of a villager Suraj ( Abhishek ) who came to Mumbai to earn himself a degree in some college. He comes across and gets bowled over by a lovely girl, Pooja ( Rani Mukherjee ). The two fall in love with each other and starts singing duets. Suraj is a hard working guy who wants to make big in his life and wants to be like his mentor Naved Ali ( Jackie Shroff ).

One day Suraj saves the life of a seriously wounded man and this deed impresses Naved. Naved sends him his colleague Lara ( Sushmita Sen ) to convince him to start a new channel. Slowly Lara starts taking Pooja’s place. Suraj gets warned by Pooja about the side effects of their relationship but only iin vain. Soon Suraj becomes the proud owner of everything he wanted from big bungalow to expensive car. One day he comes to know about Naved’s ill intentions that he wanted to be the PM of the country and Suraj was used as a toy for it.
