The romantic comedy Biwi O Biwi : The Fun – Film was released on May 29, 1981 under the banner of R K Films. The movie was directed by Rahul Rawail and produced by Raj Kapoor. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Randhir Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon, Sanjeev Kumar and Yogita Bali while Simi Garewal, Shashikala, Prema Narayan, Rajendra Nath, Deven Verma and Dina Pathak were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Biwi O Biwi : The Fun – Film was a comedy film that was liked by many people. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a man named Chandermohan ( Randhir Kapoor ) who is the only child in a wealthy family. He was a singer by profession and was of marriageable age. Thus his parents wanted him to get married but the problem to him was posed by his stars. He was a Mangalik and finding a suitable match for him was very difficult.

Chandermohan was, one day advised by his friend Gafoor who himself had two wives that he should relocate to Bombay and sing at the Tejpal Auditorium. He does so and came across a beautiful girl there named Asha ( Poonam Dhillon ) who lived with her widower dad, ironically named Colonel Mangal Singh ( Sanjeev Kumar ) and her paternal grandma. He wanted that his daughter Asha should get marred to an army officer. He tried a lot for that but he was later convinced that she being a Manglik can marry Chandermohan.
