The movie Black & White has been released on March 7, 2008 under the banner of Mukta Searchlight Films. The social film has been directed and produced by the famous person Subhash Ghai. The star casts of the film are Anil Kapoor, Habib Tanvir, Shefali Chhaya, Aditi Sharma, Anurag Sinha, Mushtaq Khan, Akash Khurana, Sai Tamhankar, Jamini Pathak, Sukhwinder Singh and Milind Gunaji. The music is directed by Sukhwinder Singh and the singers of the movie are Sukhwinder Singh, Shraddha Pandit, Sadhana Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, Hans Raj Hans, Udit Narayan and Jagjit Singh.

Black & White has been directed by the showman of the bollywood but the film is not the trademark for which he was known. The movie generates a message for the society. But the movie can still be improved. The story of the movie is mostly about a Muslim fundamentalist group and a suicide bomber. Rajan Mathur ( Anil Kapoor ) lives in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi with wife Roma Mathur ( Shefali Shah ) and is a Professor in Urdu literature in Dr. Zakir Hussain’s College. The story becomes interesting when he meets Numair Qazi ( Anurag Sinha ) who, according to him, is a victim of communal riots in Gujarat.

But in reality Qazi is a suicide bomber employed by a Muslim fundamentalist group to plant a bomb at the Red Fort on 15th August. Numair wanted some place to hide for some days and for this purpose he wins the confidence of the professor and resides in their house with him and his wife. Professor also gave him the entry pass for the celebrations. Numair was distracted off his mission at certain occasions when he sees few patriotic peoples of Chandni Chowk like Shagufta, a modern Muslim college girl, Rahat, a Sufi pop singer, Miya, 84-year-old and Sardar Kirtan Singh. He found himself in some sort of dilemma.
