Bollywood movie, Blackmail, directed by Vijay Anand was released in the year 1973. the movie starred Dharmendra and Rakhee Gulzar in lead roles while Kamal kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Madan Puri and Iftekhar also played important roles in the film. the music of the film was given by Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc. The movie was highly appreciated for its music and recieved an overwhelming responce from the audience.

The movie starts with Kailash Gupta ( Dharmendra ) who get married with a beautiful girl named Asha Mehta ( Rakhee Gulzar ). Though Kailash loves her a lot but Asha is in love with someone else, Jeevan ( Shatrughan Sinha ). Asha agrees to get married to Kailash only when Jeevan betrays her and flies to Dubai to get settled there. But in the reality, Jeevan is still in the city and the marraige of Kailash and Asha was planned by him for getting the formula of generating electricity from solar light.

The formula belongs to Kailash’s uncle Dr. Ramakant Khurana ( Madan Puri ). After few days of marraige, Kailash becomes suspicious about Asha Behaviour who is secretly meeting someone during odd hours ofthe night. Kailash tries to knwo the truth and therefore follows Asha when she goes to meet soemone in the night. Who is that guy? And what about that valuable formula?
