Songs of Buddha Mil Gaya


Bollywood musical mystery thriller, Buddha Mil Gaya, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Bimal Dutt was released in the year 1971. The movie starred Navin Nischol and Archana in lead roles while Om Prakash, Lalita Pawar, Deven Verma, Aruna Irani, Sonia Sahni, Asit Sen and Brahm Bhardwaj also played important roles in the film. The melodious hit music of the movie was directed by Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with two nothing for good guys named Bhola ( Deven Verma ) and Ajay ( Navin Nischol ). They learns from a newspaper that a elderly getnlemen is missing form his home, who is actually a very wealthy person. They meets with such a elderly gentlemen in the Hanging garden park. They pretends that he is actually their paternal uncle. They bring him to their home, which is also ofcourse taken on rent by them. The elderly guy introduces himself as Girdharilal ( Om Prakash ) and starts living along with them.

But the problem arises when Ajay learns that the old man is taking unusual interest in his girlfriend, Deepa ( Archana ). Ajay and Bhola then tries to become rich with the help of Girdharilal but found themselves in a big trouble. The old man has actually comitted three murders and is on a run from police. Ajay and Bhola knows that he is the killer but are not brave enough to tell this truth to police.
