The action thriller movie Cash was released on August 3, 2007 under the banners of Seven Entertainment, Adlabs Films Ltd, Sohail Maklai Entertainment Pvt Ltd and ASP White. The movie has been directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Sohail Maklai and Anish Ranjan along with him. The main roles were played by Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Shamita Shetty along with Esha Deol, Ayesha Takia, Sunil Shetty and Dia Mirza. The music has been directed by the duo of Vishal and Shekhar Ravjiani. The songs were sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Anushka Manchandani and Vishal-Shekhar.

Cash is directed by Anubhav Sinha who have also directed the movie Dus, and this is why the two movies look so similar. The movie is based on the theme of friendship and love. The story of the movie revolves around diamonds and there are three of them mined in 1779. They are with a man named Mr. Francis Augustine D’mello who needs the third one to complete his set valued about Rs 100 crores. Sanjeev Khanna’s father knew the information about the lost third diamond and when he died his lawyer told his son about it.

The honest man Sanjeev handled over the diamond to the Indian embassy in Cape Town and left it. Divya Gupta held the responsibility to transport it to the airport safely but her boyfriend Karan ( Ajay Devgan ) was on a mission to rob the group. He didn’t know what was with them. He needed help and hired few robbers ( Esha Deol, Zayed Khan, Dia Mirza and Ritesh Deshmukh ) to get the work done. The underworld don Angad ( Suniel Shetty ) also wished to steal the diamonds and was after it. The diamonds also faced threat from the Head of Security Shania ( Shamita Shetty ).
