Bollywood romantic thriller, Chaahat Ek Nasha, directed by Jay Prakash was released on February 11, 2005. The movie starred Aryan Vaid and Preeti Jhangyani in lead roles while Manisha Koirala, Sharad Kapoor, Rocky Verma, Snehal Dabi, Sayaji Shinde and Govind Namdev also played significant characters in the film. The hit music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director Anand Raj Anand while the songs were crooned by Udit Narayan, Suresh Wadkar, Babul Supriyo, Sunidhi Chauhan, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal etc.

Rashmi ( Preeti Jhangyani ) is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith her father, Dr. Sanjeev Jaitely ( Govind Namdev ). Rashmi wants to be a singer and dancer and is always encouraged by her father and freinds. Rashmi is a big fan of an established singer named mallika Arora ( Manisha Koirala ) and always sends her flowers on every possible occasion. Rashmi gets serious about making a successful career in singing and dancing. She approcahes R. K. Music Corporation, who is run by Rahul Kapoor ( Aryan Vaid ). Rahul realizes that Mallika’s voice magic is slowing down and therefore he decides to give a chance to fresh talent like Rashmi.

Rahul releases the first album of Rashmi and soon she becomes a popular singer. Rahul and Rashmi then continues to give hits after hits. Rahul and rashmi get attracted towards each other and falls in love. Rahul and Rashmi decides to get married to each other. But just before their wedding could take place, Rashmi reveals that Rahul and Mallika had been lovers and still shares physical relationships with each other.
