Dharmendra, Randhir Kapoor and Hema Malini starrer comic caper Chacha Bhatija was released in the year 1977. The movie was written by Javed Akhtar and directed by Manmohan Desai. The other starcast of the movie includes Yogeeta bali, Jeevan, Indrani Mukherjee, Rehman, nwar Hussain, Durga Khote, un Tun and Sunder in significant characters. The music of the movie was directed by the well known music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Shailendra Singh, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Shankar ( Dharmendra ) is the younger brother of a wealthy businessman, Ranbir Singh Teja ( Rehman ). Ranbir’s wife passes away leaving behind their son, Sunder ( Randhir Kapoor ). Ranbir then re marries to a beautiful girl named Sonia ( Sonia Sahni ), who enters in the house alongwith her brother, Laxmidas ( Jeevan ). The two makes the plan of inherting all the wealth of Ranbir. But Shnkar and Sunder learns about their bad intentions and tell this to Ranbir. However, Ranbir is convinced by Sonia that his brother and son are planning against her and wants to throw her out of the house.

As a result of this, Ranbir asks Shanker to leave the house. After some time, he also throws out Sunder from the house. Years later, Shankar becomes a criminal and meets with Sunder, who is now a conman. They both are unknown to the real identity of each other but likes each other company and decides to be together for ever. How will they learn about their realtionship?
