The social movie Chal Chalein is scheduled to release on August 7, 2009 under the banner of Ankit Pictures. The production of the movie is completed and is directed by Ujjwal Singh while it is produced by Mahesh Padalkar. The top roles in the movie are played by Mithun Chakraborty, Mukesh Khanna, Rati Agnihotri and Anoop Soni while the supporting roles are played by Shilpa Shukla, Kanwaljeet Singh, Jaya Bhattacharya, Tanvi Hegde and Priyesh Sagar. The music of the film is being directed by Illaiyaraja.

The movie Chal Chalein is a social flick the story of which revolves around a group of eight boys and girls who are studying in the eleventh class. They all were playful, naughty and someone they should be. They all lived happily until one day they come to know that their friend named Navneet ( Priyesh Sagar ) has committed suicide. They later discovers that the reason why he did that was solely the parental pressure of his parents ( Rati Agnihotri and Kanwaljeet ).

The peer pressure was because his father wanted to see him as an engineer but his interest was mainly in literature. This concerned them the most and thus they decide to start a movement against the students committing suicide and the parents who are forcing their kids. They were helped by a lawyer named Sanjay ( Mithun Chakraborthy ) with their movement. Chief justice of India Justice Bharat Kumar ( Mukesh Khanna ) was the head responsible for the lives of the students.
