The movie Chamku is going to release on August 22, 2008 and will be bannered under Vijayta Films. The social drama has been directed by Kabeer Kaushik and includes the main actors like Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra, Ritesh Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi while there were others like Irrfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Arya Babbar and Danny Denzongpa. The music is directed by Monty Sharma and the songs are sung by Shreya Ghosal, Richa Sharma, Shail, Vaishali Samant, Amitrajit Bhattacharjee, Anaida and Kalpana.

The action thriller movie Chamku is directed by Kabeer Kaushik who debuted in the film industry with the movie Sehar starring Arshad Warsi some three years ago. The movie stars Bobby Deol who on one hand had a great last year but on the other hand didn’t have many releases in 2008. Chamku has a script based on Naxalite fighting and similar stories are being produced in Bollywood these days like a Suniel Shetty starrer film “Red Alert”. The story of the Chamku is based on real life story of naxalites in several regions of Bihar.

The story of the movie revolves around a man named Chandramohan Singh ( Bobby Deol ) popularly called as Chamku. Chamku becomes a naxaliteand is getting his training from a initiative taken by the government to run a program in southern parts of Bihar. Through the difficult segments of his life he has learnt and changed a lot. Naxalites are the people who did the work of planting explosives and also stabbing people against them. Bobby Deol’s home production movie reveals the hidden story behind the naxalites.
