Songs of Chori Mera Kaam


Bollywood romantic comedy, Chori Mera Kaam, directed by Brij and written by K. A. Narayan was released on May 2, 1975. The movie starred Shashi Kapoor and Zeenat Aman in lead roles while Pran, Ashok Kumar, David Abraham, Deven Verma, Raza Murad, Anoop Kumar and Iftekhar also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the film was directed by the very famous music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar Ganguly, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Bhola ( Shashi Kapoor ) is a picpocket by profession. He works alongwith his girlfriend, Sharmili ( Zeenat Aman ). Bhola doesn’t know about his family as he was abdcuted by a criminal at a very small age. He is actually the son of a former police officer, Samadh Kumar ( Pran ). Both Kumar and his wife thinks that their second son is no more alive. Bhola finds a book named Chori Mera Kaam while performing robeery in a house. He tries to sold it by no use. Hence he sells it to a publisher named Parveen Bhai ( Deven Verma ). Parveen publishes the book and soon the book becomes the nationwide best seller.

But the problem begins when the book also draws attention of some police officers and some criminals also. The original writer of the book, Shankar ( Ashok Kumar ) also finds himself in a big problem. He is on the gunpoint of the underworld don, Amarchand Rathod ( Anwar Hussain ), who wants the book at any cost. Bhola and Sharmili also get into problem when Praveen Bhai speaks thier name in front of the criminals. What happens next in the film worth a watch.
