D – Underworld was an action movie released on June 3, 2005 under the banners of K Sera Sera, UTV Motion Pictures and Sahara One. The movie was directed by Vishram Sawant and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and Ronnie Screwvala. The lead roles were played by Randeep Hooda, Sushant Singh, Yashpal Sharma and Chunky Pandey while the roles of Rukhsar and Isha Koppikar were also significant. Music of the film was directed by Prasana Shekhar and the songs were sung by Priyad, Jolly Mukherjee, Mohana and Vehrnon.

The movie “D-Underworld” has been produced by the famous director Ram Gopal Varma after a long time and promises to show the public the real world. Ramu’s previous film on the same topic “Company” was a huge hit and with this film he stars a newcomer Randeep Hooda. Randeep has also showed his talent in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding. Since then he has been aiming for the top and this is clear from his acting. The story of the movie revolves around Deshu ( Randeep Hooda ) who was nothing in the beginning but now have the empire of his own.

While he was gaining lot of popularity in the world of crime, he was also facing the opposition from within his company. Relatives of his mentor ( Goga Kapoor ) were unhappy with his progress and every time he scaled new heights, the tensions between them grew more. Despite all this, Deshu and his friend Raghav ( Chunkey Pandey ) performed their duties honestly. Sons of the mentor ( Yashpal Sharma and Sushant Singh ) targets Raghav first then decided to take on Deshu and then his girlfriend ( Rukhsaar ).
