Bollywood action thriller, Daag : The Fire, directed by Raj Kanwar released on 12 Febraury 1999. the movie starred Sanjay Dutt, Chandrachur Singh and Mahima Chaudhary in lead roles while Raj Babbar, Shakti kapoor, Johnny Lever and Sushma seth also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by Rajesh Roshan and the songs were sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Jaspinder Narula, Alka Yagnik and Anuradha Paudwal. The movie did well at the box office.

The movie starts with Ravi Verma ( Chandrachur Singh ), a corrupt lawyer who can do everything to win a case for his clients. he is the main weapon of his father-in-law, Tejeshwar Singhal ( Raj Babbar ), against the law. An honest municipal commisioner, Satya Prakash ( Shivaji Satham ), is trapped and framed in a false case by ravi on the will of his father-in-law and his business partners. Tejashwar’s friends arrange for Satya Prakash’s death in the prison and label it as a suicide. Satya Prakash’s son, Karan ( Sanjay Dutt ), a former soldier seeks revenge from Ravi.

He tries to kill Ravi, but unfortunately Ravi’s wife, Kajal ( Mahima Chaudhary ), get killed in the attack. ravi also get injured in the attack as a result of which he loses his memory. Tejashwar finds a look alike of Kajal named Kajri and hires her to bring back the past memories of Ravi. When Karan comes to knwo that Ravi is still alive, he runs away from the jail to complete his revenge. What happens next is a worth watch.
