Deewane Huye Paagal was a romantic comedy released on November 25, 2005 under the banner of Base Industries Group. The movie was directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The top roles were played by Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Rimi Sen and Om Puri while the supporting roles were played by Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever. Music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs of the movie were sung by Shaan, Kunal Ganjawala, Sunidhi Chauhan and Krishna.

The movie Deewane Huye Paagal was a big turn off after seeing the success of previous made films Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana and Aan - Men At Work. The movie had nothing whether be it story or logic and the movie keeps the audience bored till the interval. The movie was the romantic story between the cute guy Karan ( Shahid Kapoor ) and the sweet girl Tanya ( Rimi Sen ). Tanya witnessed a murder and thus decides to leave the place and shift to Dubai to live there with a new identitiy. Karan was clueless about her location.

Karan comes to know about her three years later and thus hires a smart detective Rocky ( Akshay Kumar ) to find more information about her. Rocky was straight on his task but gradually falls in love with Tanya. Tanya was even loved more of the guys including her physically disabled friend Sanju ( Suniel Shetty ) and Tommy ( Paresh Rawal ). The movie sets to its top plot when all these men come together and starts expressing their love to Tanya making a love pentagon. With so many guys trying to woo Tanya, story becomes exciting and fun frolic.
