The comedy drama Delhi-6 is currently under production and will be releasing on February 20, 2009 under the banners of UTV Motion Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures. The movie is being directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The important roles in the movie are played by Abhishek Bachchan, Atul Kulkarni, Sonam Kapoor and Divya Dutta while the roles of Rishi Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman are also important. Music of the film is directed by A R Rahman while the songs are sung by Mohit Chouhan, Kailash Kher, Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Blaaze and Vivinenne Pocha.

The movie Delhi-6 is a black comedy that showcases people’s two-facedness. The movie is the second film of the heroine Sonam Kapoor after her debut movie Saawariya. The movie raises the fact that in this modern world in which people are all set to judge the others based on their nature but do not observe themselves. If done so we will find that we are always unfair to the others. The story of the movie revolves around an American guy Roshan ( Abhishek Bachchan ) who is of Indian origin.

Roshan is in India for the first time as he was required to take his ailing grandmother back to India. The reason for that is she wanted to die in her native country and thus prepared for herself for the predictable. Being American, he wasn’t aware of any facts about India and its traditions. Roshan tries his full to mix up with his neighborhood and this was something very difficult to him. The movie is shot in the Old Delhi which is completely different from the New Delhi.
