Bollywood movie, Des Pardes, written and directed by Dev Anand was released in the year 1978. The movie starred Dev Anand and Tinu Munim in lead roles while Pran, Ajit, Bindu and Indrani Mukherjee also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by Rajesh Roshan while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Amit Kumar and Manhar Udhas. The movie was a box office success and won positive reviews from critics as well.

Sameer Sahni ( Pran ), a villager gets a chance to work in U.K. and he departs. His wife, Rama ( Indrani Mukherjee ) tries to stop him first but later agreed for his family’s sake. Sameer gives the responsibility of the family to his younger brother, Veer ( Dev Anand ). Sameer made promise to his family that once he get settled there, he will call them also ti join him there. Sameer keeps in touch with his family through letter but then suddenly the family stops recieving Sameer’s letters.

The family becomes anxious to know what has happened to Sameer and Veer decidesto leave to U.K. in search of his brother. But there also he gets no clue of his brother. There he meets with a beautiful girl named Gauri ( Tina Munim ) and falls in love with her. He also meets with soem persons who illegally bring Indians there with the help of fake passports and then treats them like dog. The man behind all these illegal work is Gurnaam ( Ajit ). Veer learns that Gurnaam is the close friend of Sameer. He tries to ask him about his brother but he also fails to tell him anything. Now what Veer will do now?
