The movie Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal has been released on November 23, 2007 and was bannered under UTV Motion Pictures. The sports movie was directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The actors in the lead roles were John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Bipasha Basu and Naveen Andrews while the characters of Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Boman Irani were also significant in the film. The music of the film was directed by Pritam Chakraborty and songs were sung by Anand Raj Anand, Daler Mehndi, Neeraj Shridhar, Richa Sharma and Javed.

Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal was a movie with not only the theme of sports but it also portrayed the issues of racism and patriotism. The movie starts depicting the dismal state of Southall United Football Club which is at its worst state ever. The club is facing many problems like it had no sponsor, no coach, no viewers and even no owner. There were just the players who were playing as the Southall United Football Club. Even this wasn’t enough, they were given a notice by the city notifying them that in order to save the ground they will have to win the Combined Counties Football League.

Shaan ( Arshad Warsi ) was not ready to give the land like that and so asked Tony Singh ( Boman Irani ) to coach them. Two of them held the responsibility on themselves to lift the team. On the other hand, Sunny Bhasin ( John Abraham ) who is a good football player was not allowed for England and his dream flattened when he got to know the reason behind it. Tony convinced Sunny to play for Southall United. Shaan who couldn’t withstand Sunny also agreed. Shaan’s cousin Rumana ( Bipasha Basu ) was in deep love with Sunny. The team picked up and started winning matches to save the ground for Southall for another long time now.
