Bollywood fantasy movie, Dharam Veer, directed by Manmohan Desai was released in the year 1977. The movie starred Dharmendra, Jeetendra and Zeenat Aman in lead roles while Pran, Neetu Singh and Ranjeet also played important roles in the movie. The music of the film was given by the famous duo Laxmikant Pyarelal and the songs were sung by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh. the movie did well at the box office and proved out to be a big hit of that year. One special thing about this film is that Bobby Deol was seen playing the younger version of his father’s character in the film.

The movie starts with Rajkumari Meenakshi, who is rescued by a warrior Jwala Singh ( Pran ), when her brother’s men trie to kill her. Jwala Singh, who lives alone in the jungle brings her at his home. She spends a one night stand with him. Due to some misunderstanding, she presumed that Jwala has been killed by a tiger. On return to her Mahal, her father arranges her marriage with a King, unknown to the afct that Meenakshi is preganant by Jwala. Meenakshi’s husband dies in a war. Her brother, Satpal Singh ( Jeevan ), is told by a fortune-teller that Meenakshi’s son will kill him one day.

She gives birth to a baby boy. Satpal tosses it out of a window in order to kill him but somehow he is saved by Jwala’s pet, Sheroo. Meenakshi also gives birth to another child. The twins grow up in different conditions but become very close friends. The elder is called Dharam ( Dharmendra ) while the younger is called, Veer ( Jeetendera ). Soon they realise that they are not just friends but brothers. Then they decides to take revenge from Satpal Singh.
