The social movie Dhokha was released on August 31, 2007 under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fish Eye Network Pvt Ltd. While the movie has been directed by Pooja Bhatt, it has been produced by Mukesh Bhatt. Actors in the lead roles in the film were Muzammil Ibrahim, Anupam Kher, Tulip Joshi and Gulshan Grover whereas Ashutosh Rana and Aushima Sawhney also played some interesting roles. The music of the film was directed by M M Kreem and Shiraz Uppal. The songs were sung by K K, Ustad Rafaqat Ali Khan, M M Kreem, Shiraz Uppal and Shreya Ghosal.

Pooja Bhatt had benn busy recently in producing few movies like Paap, Holiday but this time with Dhokha; it’s an attempt to raise some serious issue. The film is based on terrorism and is based the suicide bomber in the film is a police officer’s wife. Zaid Ahmed ( Muzamil Ibrahim ) is a young and talented Muslim police officer working in Mumbai. He is most commited to his work and responsibilities and this is why he is respected a lot. Presently he was helping the traumatized patients who were brought to the hospital.

Some day on work he was shocked to discover his own wife Sarah’s ( Tulip Joshi )body with severe injuries amongst the other patients. According to the police, the injuries on her dead body were just like that one would find on a suicide bomber’s body. Later, police acquired some evidence and declared that she was a suiced bomber. For Zaid the entire world seemed to get lost. Along with remembering the sweet moments they shared, he was worried to about her truthness.  The theme of the film is based on terrorism and raises a serious issue.
