Bollywood movie, Dhol, directed by Priyadarshan was released on 21 September 2007. The movie starred Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Rajpal Yadav and Tanushree Dutta in lead roles while Payal Rohatgi, Om Puri, Arbaaz Khan and Murli Sharma also played important roles in the movie. The music of the film was given by Pritam. The movie is the hindi remake of the Malayalam movie In Harihar Nagar. The movie did excellent business at the box office window.

The movie starts with four stupid boys Sameer ( Tusshar Kapoor ), Pankaj ( Sharman Joshi ), Gautam ( Kunal Khemu ) and Martand ( Rajpal Yadav ), who wants to make it big in their life. They wants to give the least effort possible in acheiving their goal. But every time they use a shortcut to success, they ends up being in deep trouble. Finally they concludes that the only easy way to become rich is to marry a wealthy girl and they starts searching for a beautiful, rich and inncoent girl to trap.

Luckily a girl named Ritu ( Tanushree Dutta ) arrives in their neighbourhood alongwith her grandfather ( Om Puri ) and grandmother. They tries to attract Ritu’s attention towards them but each time their plan results opposite to what they think to be happened. Later they came to know about the fact that Ritu has actually arrived there for the search of her lost brother. All the four guys presents themselves in front of Ritu as the best friends of her lost brother. In the process of attracting Ritu towarsd them, all of them find themselves involved in a very big trouble.
