Bollywood suspense thriller, Dhund: The Fog, directed by Shyam Ramsay and written by Sajiv Kapoor was released on February 21, 2003. The movie starred Amar Upadhyaya and Aditi Govitrikar in lead roles while Apoorva Agnihotri, Irrfan Khan, Divya Palat, Gulshan Grover, Shweta menon, Prem Chopra, Mukesh Tiwari and Tom Alter also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the music director Viju Shah while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Madhushree and Abhijeet.

The movie starts with a beautiful girl named Simran Malhotra ( Aditi Govitrikar ), who is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his uncle named Rajendra Malhotra ( Prem Chopra ) after the death of her parents in a car accident. She is in college and gets an opportunity to enter her name in a local beauty contest. She enters her name but her fello-collegian, Tanya Khurana ( Shweta Menon ) does not want her to enter her name. tanya’s borther, Ajit ( Irrfan Khan ) assures her that Simran will not be able to take part in the beauty contest at all.

However, Simran does take part in the contest and wins it single handedly. Ajit then decides to kill Simran at any cost. Ajit tries to kill her but her friends, Sameer ( Amar Upadhyaya ) and Kunal ( Apoorva Agnihotri ) comes to her rescue. Accidently, Ajit gets killed. The trio then decides to throw Ajit’s body somewhere so that no one ever come to know about his death. But mysteriously, Ajit body disappears. Then starts the game of series murders which will end with the death of theses three friends.
